Renault Group has planned to bring Arkana cross-coupe to the European market by 2021
Cross-coupe Renault Arkana may appear in the «European» line of the brand by 2021. This was reported by the French edition of Downshift with reference to the Executive Vice-President Renault Group on the planning of products and programs of Kassay Kuzai.
Despite the fact that Renault Arkana’s cross-coupe appeared in the model line at the beginning of this year and is currently sold only in Russia, the «European» version of the model will receive a number of updates. In particular, the model will appear the RS Line version. In addition, the «European» crossover will receive an upgraded salon with a recycled central console, which will facilitate access to the information and entertainment system, and another transmission selector.
The revision of the motor gamma is not excluded. In all likelihood, the cross-coupe will lose 1.6-liter gasoline «atmospheric» with a capacity of 114 hp, which in Russia is offered in combination with a 5-speed «mechanical» and front-wheel drive. The car will be represented with a single turbo engine 1.3 TCE with a capacity of 150 hp, conjugate with a variator X-Tronic CVT. The maximum torque of the unit is 250 nm at 1600 rpm.
The standard Equipment of the «Russian» version of Arkana includes an 8-inch information and entertainment system with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, the BOSE audio system, the surrounding light, climate control and several security systems. In Russia, the basic cross-coupe costs 14,340 euros. With a 1.3 TCE engine developed by Renault-Nissan and Daimler, Renault Arkana will cost 17,778 euros. In the European market, the cross-coupe takes place between the new subcompact crossover Renault Captur and the compact Renault Kadjar.
