Three «Gazelles», which will take Russia to the future

The commercial car segment of LCV is very peculiar in the automotive market of the Russian Federation. There is no doubt that the tone is asked by the Gorky Automotive Plant, which has been bitten by half the capacity of this market for many years.

As is known, Gas is the largest player in the Russian LCV market. At the end of the seven months of 2019, 59,225 such cars were sold in the country, of which 26,655 «Gazelle», as the data of the «AUTOSTATA» say.

According to the company itself, it takes about 50% of the Russian LCV market. At the same time, more than 60% of sales fall on the NEXT Gazelle.

It is because of this fact that constantly focused on this enterprise and its products. So now there was another occasion. At the ComTrans exhibition held in Moscow in early September. See, «Gazelle Business» and «Sobol» are designed on a common platform and are upgraded versions of the classical, first «gazelle», which is no longer produced. Further, the Gazelle Next is the next generation of the LCV gas, built on another platform.

Representatives of the GAZ Group themselves are planned, it is planned that the novelty will be carried out in parallel with the «NEXT Gazelle», and the release of «Gazelles of Business» and «Sable» will depend on demand. It is clear that the demand for the «Business» line is due to its cheapness to preserve what time.

What else to say about the NN family?

The meaning of the appearance of this version of the commercial car is that the Gazelle urgently needed to make a «digital», approaching electrical and electronic stuffing to European counterparts. The current serial «Gazelle NEXT» is actually impossible. But you need to look at two steps forward. And ahead — inevitable in the modern world, equipping the driver’s assistants, robotization … All this will allow to implement the NN gazelle equipped with a Can-bus.

In turn, the NN Gazelle is a fundamentally new family, with its platform, which will allow you to install an internal combustion engine or an electric motor. This is the need for future electric car.

Also in Gazelle NN »Designers provided installation of more than 30 driver assistance systems — adaptive cruise control, intelligent speed adaptation, depending on road signs, assistant to hold the strip, automatic emergency braking, light control system, parking assistant, tire pressure control system and so on.

Also among the main differences from the predecessors — an independent front suspension, a rush steering, a more spacious cabin made from galvanized steel. The «nex» cabin is known as a model and is installed on larger freight cars as a «lawn Next» and «Ural Next».

It is assumed that on the basis of the new NN platform, a number of LCVs with various types of body, wheelbases and options for special equipment will be created. In the future, NN solutions can also be used for mid-tuning trucks and buses that produce a gas group.

Investments in the project of creating «Gazelle NN» representatives of the group have not yet disclosed. They explain this by the fact that they are not yet completed. Partly, it can be recalled that in the spike that the GAZ group signed with the Government of Russia laid a figure of 20 billion rubles. But it is distorted by works on other models of cargo and passenger machinery. So far, the figure only sounded, which annually invests in the development of a new model range of about 6 billion rubles.
