Progress in the countries of Southeast Asia is seven-year steps. Incredibly, but in Vietnam, they thought about the development of the Russian car market and invest in production in the territory of the Russian Federation. Sensation, and only. But let’s look at it.
Cars from Southeast Asia periodically tried to «call» to the Russian market. In this regard, it is worth remembering the attempt by the Taiwanese company LUXGEN to promote our line of crossovers. The attempt was unsuccessful, but in Taipei is not dull, and believe that the return will take place.
A few days ago, on all car sites on the Internet, interesting information passed on the heading «Quick Food Cars». Many on her and did not pay attention. And in vain.
From this Opus followed that the first Vietnamese car concern Vinfast enters the Russian market. Stereotypes that have developed in our head immediately put a barrier to such an information stamp. What are Vietnamese cars, what concern? Won recently, the Belarusian MAZ opened the assembly plant in Vietnam, and the gas group is also not off there to start assembly production.
But do not rush to believe that it is non-serious. Since there are some details that we do not know. And they are as follows. So, the concern Vinfast arose relatively recently. His owner, a certain Vietnamese, who studied in Moscow, and then holding a small business in Kiev, after Euromaidan-2014 faced the troubles of «activists» and preferred, throwing everything to return to the historic homeland. There he found Japanese investors and quickly unwound a new business. Therefore, his application for the supply of inexpensive cars in the Russian Federation looks like a logical step.
In itself, this is not particularly interesting, but in the context of new trends in relation to between the Russian Federation and Vietnam, the topic has very curious shades. It turns out that Russian exports in Vietnam has been steadily growing in recent years. But, at the expense of a stable increase in the sale of grain, mineral resources, iron ore and steel, fish, seafood and fertilizers. As you can see, the export structure is raw material. Although a couple of decades ago, the brotherly Vietnamese people of the USSR then supplied cars and equipment, vessels and cars, aircraft and military equipment.
The facts of reorientation and changes in the structure of Russian exports are confirmed, it is enough to look into the statistical data of the official bodies.
At the same time, the export of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the Russian Federation is growing more intensively. But again, before Hanoi supplied Moscow, mainly such a promotional goods like shoes, clothes, as well as fruits, nuts, coffee and tea. But now the greatest amount of delivery falls on the electrical appliances, «mechanics» and … high-precision equipment. Thus, the Russian Federation supplies raw materials and food in Vietnam, purchasing a variety of equipment in Vietnam, and such a tendency increases every year already adopted irreversible. What, you see, beneficial to both parties: Moscow thus gets what is no longer able to produce itself, and Vietnam provides for the future, as it is not sad to realize, reliable raw materials appendage.
Therefore, who is familiar with the situation, the issue of importing Vietnamese cars is logical and natural.
While delivery under discussion. But Vinfast owners emit optimism. They are not only confident that in the Russian car market they are provided with a worthy niche, but also cherished very ambitious, far-reaching plans. In particular, as described by the Japanese media Nguyen Vin Chuck, a member of the Board of Directors of the Vietnamese Concern: «A project for translating production to the Russian Federation was prepared, in some regions of which the cost of labor is lower than in Vietnam.» In his opinion, the leadership of the Russian Federation «having problems with employment of the population, especially in the deep regions of the country, is interested in such cooperation.» Problems, indeed, there are, they need to urgently decide — and in the end, not the same Africa to grow in Russia’s power …
